ABOUT THE PROJECT
Connected wellness meets the big screen: personalized workout and real-time feedback
Responsibilities in Depth
In this role, I led end-to-end UX design, from early concept development to post-launch iteration. Working closely with two visual designers, a motion designer, and a design manager. I also mentored and directed another UX designer.
My responsibilities spanned UX strategy, visual concept exploration, and roadmap planning. I managed design handoff by creating detailed specs and supporting quality assurance during development.
After launching the MVP, I continued to lead UX iterations and new feature development aligned with the product roadmap.
On the collaboration front, I partnered with product managers in the U.S. and Korea, and worked closely with engineering teams in Korea and China. I also collaborated with researchers to shape study plans (surveys and usability tests) and supported the prototyping team to ensure alignment with the design vision for effective testing.

The Problem
According to the CDC, 80% of U.S. adults don’t get enough physical activity—and many want to change that.
The top barriers preventing people from maintaining regular exercise are:
Time constraints: Busy schedule make it hard to fit in workouts
Lack of time or motivation: Especially when exercising alone
Inconvenience: Getting to gyms and fitness classes disrupts daily routines
High cost: Gym memberships and fitness programs are expensive
Target Users
We focused on two key user groups affected in different ways:
Underactive and time-constrained adults: who want to stay active but struggle to find convenient, efficient workout solutions that fit their busy schedules and provide the motivation to stay consistent.
2.
Inconsistent exercisers: who start fitness routines with good intentions but lose momentum due to lack of personalized guidance, accountability, and visible progress tracking.
The Opportunity
Through research and trend analysis, we discovered three strategic opportunities that directly address these barriers:
Quick, efficient workouts for busy routines
Home based convenience with smart device integration, so starting feels easy by leveraging technology people already own and use daily
Personalized motivation through intelligent progress tracking
Product Goal
